I've been a little hesitant when it came to suspenders, I love them but I didn't know if they were for me.  But! when I spotted these all of those doubts quickly disappeared  from the high waist fit to the removable straps, I was sold and I am so happy that I didn't let my doubts get in the way. 

Sometimes you just gotta go for it and try new things!!

On another note, playoff time and I'm SOOO happy my boys came through yesterday, CHARGERS!!!!

I find that when I wear a color, majority of the time I try to pair with the same color or similar shade to create a monochromatic look.  I actually came across these pants online a while ago, saw they were from Zara but sold out so what does that mean for a fashion stalker.. head over to eBay! And sure enough I found a brand new pair.

Now lets talk about this sweater from Sheinside -- cut out details and puff sleeves turned a simple sweater into a stand out piece.   Plus, I have a huge obsession with anything pink right now, so fair warning of whats to come.

Well, it looks like the winter weather has finally arrived here in Maryland, with these past couple of days being in the negatives it was officially time to break out my winter essentials.  While it's very easy to completely cover up and resort to comfort and warmth rather than still keeping up with still being as stylish as possible, I wanted to share my tricks with you.

Step 1: Outerwear

I have quite a few coats on  rotation this winter but most importantly you definitely need to invest in a duster/long line coat that pretty much covers your body.  I own this one here and I highly recommend that you invest in this style.

Step 2: Layers

Pretty much says it all, layer with heavier fabrics.  I personally under every top I wear in the winter, layer with a tank.  Forever21 has a good selection, for a price you can't beat (I normally stock up on mine in bulk from here).

Step 3: Edgy boots

Go for the boots that have a little character, when you're all bundled up at least you can still show off your shoes.

Step 4: Accessorize

Similar to your shoes, make a statement with your accessories too!

Go bold.

Happy Monday guys!

If you follow along on Instagram, you are already aware I went back to all black hair and had it chopped to a pixie cut and I love it! At the end of last year, I was set on growing it back out.  Welp, there goes that! As much as I love my bob cut, I think a shorter cut is more me :)

Change is always great and I'm usually always up for a little switch up.  Dare yourself to do something different!

Wrapping up my campaign with Target with a jewel tone ensemble -- to me, jewel tones scream Autumn/Winter because everyone tends to gravitate more towards the darker shades.  I prefer both but you know me, you never know what you'll get :)  And why not add a little twist to your ordinary blazer by belting (I used a tie belt from another coat of mine).  Creativity is a must when dressing for me!

For me my casual looks normally consist of the following: white tee, cargos or a pair of jeans, sunglasses, a statement item, a pop of color and a coat (in winter).  Easy, simple and quick.

I love that you can creatively express yourself through your fashion choices, as you all know I love taking risks and loved the idea of wearing a coat as a dress with the help of a belt and "strategically" placing the coat so it is a asymmetric fit.  I forgot about the frigid temps for 1.2 seconds because I had to wear this.

I chose to dress down my jacquard pants with a very very casual sweatshirt.  Pairing obvious choices together is so not me! Style is your personal self expression which is why I kind of find it comical when I see comments saying, "you should have paired it this way or with this color instead.." that would defeat the whole point of personal style, correct?

I felt real 'american hustle' from the waist up with the faux fur and round sunglasses, just missing my flare jeans.

Looking forward to the warmer temps this weekend and by warmer I mean the upper 40's.  I plan on working all weekend and taking the entire weekend off next week!! Hope I can stick to this.

Two things I will probably never get tired of (well, at least anytime soon): leopard print shoes/accessories and crop tops.

Onto another subject, I have decided to skip New York Fashion Week this year for a few reasons -- the weather is terrible in NY right now (not feeling it), I'm extremely busy with things and I'm in the middle of a big move that I am SO excited about!! As always, busy weekend ahead but I'm looking forward to my spa day with one of my girlfriends, can't wait!

I am sooo ready for spring! Mint (or any pastel shade) is kind of like a staple color for a spring wardrobe, whether it's apparel or accessories, you should own a piece.  For all my neutral only people, this shade is subtle enough for you to start working into your closet without being too overwhelming.

Survived the snowstorm! And "barely" settled into the new place because (1) I hate unpacking (2) too many other things to tend to.

Heading into 2014, I knew I wanted to make some big changes but out of fear sometimes we tend to drag our feet in doing so.  However, at this point I am kind of being "forced" to make a drastic change and quickly.. but it is actually for the better and I'm looking at it as a blessing in disguise.  No risk, no reward, right?

So, I have been on the hunt for a pair of white pumps for a while now.  I initially was going to buy there here, sold out then found another pair here, also sold out.  I didn't act quick enough for either.  The madness of a search would not stop until I found a pair then conveniently stumbled across these by Charles David.  I will say I was a little hesitant to purchase at first because the heel height is only 4" (and for me that is low) I am a 5" type of lady, call me crazy but I live for my high heels.  But I guess it's good to have a variety in my collection and I am pleased with these.

Spring has arrived!!.. For the past 2 days.  I did not hesitate to break out a spring romper and layer with a winter coat to enjoy this past weekend.  Warm weather just makes me so happy!! .. Now back to the cold weather and possible snow this week.  It was fun while it lasted!
